MOKE International is an iconic British motor brand, and the first heritage automaker to go 100% electric.
Designed in the early 1960s by Sir Alec Issigonis, father of the Austin Mini, the Mini MOKE was originally conceived as a military utility vehicle. In a twist of fate, it quickly became a cult icon in trend-setting resorts across the French Riviera and the Caribbean, with Brigitte Bardot, The Beatles, and James Bond among its early converts.
Each vehicle is engineered and handcrafted in Warwickshire, England, just miles away from where the original MOKE cars were built in the 1960s.
In 2022, the heritage marque introduced the Electric MOKE – a 100% lithium-ion powered, road-legal vehicle. Integrating state-of-the-art driving technologies, including its own whisper-quiet powertrain, while honouring the timeless design that made it a global sensation, MOKE has stayed true to its legacy.
In 2026, the company launched its next generation all-electric beach car, the Electric MOKE Mk2. Alongside a top speed of 80km/h and a range of up to 185 km*2 a host of new features provide occupants with the freedom to explore and enjoy even more of life’s memorable moments.
Today, MOKE International holds the original 1964 European ‘MOKE’ trademark along with over 100 related marks registered worldwide. It has appointed 10 retail partners across America and Europe and sold over 500 Electric MOKE’s globally.
Charging is supported by a 6.6kW onboard charger, meaning it is possible to charge the battery from 20% to 80% capacity in two hours.
Key controls are easy to access as the central control panel provides a clear, intuitive layout. A rotary gear selector and improved warning light visibility help to deliver a simple driving experience that allows the driver to spend more time enjoying the road, the surroundings and their passengers’ company.
European buyers of the MOKE Mk2, now have access to a wider range of colour choices than ever before. Previously only available in the USA, MOKE’s California Collection of colours which includes Sonoma Red, Laguna Blue and Venice White, now sit alongside the Original Colour Collection of Wave Blue, Sunlight Yellow and Sunset Orange, together with Earth Naturals of Shell White, Eucalyptus Green and Palm Green.
