For enthusiasts of historic rallying this is a unique opportunity to meet and hear from three of Henri Toivonens team including a team principal and two co drivers.
Hosted by Peter Scott the event will raise funds for the Overgate Hospice in Elland. Peter was keen to tell you that the buffet will be truly exceptional. Tickets cost £26 of which £10 will be donated to Overgate Hospice.
Overgate Hospice is an independent, local charity with a mission to ensure that patients, and those close to them, live with the best possible quality of life. But to continue to provide these vital services they need to raise thousands of pounds.
Henri Toivonen was one of the worlds greatest rally drivers whose career was cut tragically short when he died following a crash in the Tour de Corse. His career included the Finish Formula V championship and the Finnish cup in touring cars. At just 24 years old he won the World Rally Championship in a Talbot Sunbeam Lotus. He went on to drive for many of the leading manufacturers including Opel, Lancia and Porsche.
This will be a truly special evening for rally enthusiasts and is the first and probably the last time this group of Henri’s closest colleagues, Peter Clarke (Team principal), Fred Gallagher and Neil Wilson have been brought together to discuss their experiences of one of the worlds greatest rally drivers.
