We have built up a loyal following who enjoy our weekly articles on the classic car world with a Yorkshire perspective. Unfortunately as our readership has grown so have our costs. We would like to work with classic car suppliers, detailers, dealers and event organisers or other related businesses such as art, graphic design or printing to raise the funds to keep the BLOG going and expand it further.
In 2024 we exceeded 20 000 views by 14 000 visitors to our website. In addition we have over 400 email subscribers and 2000 followers on Facebook and Linked in. For anyone running a classic car business this is a valuable market and one that is largely Yorkshire based. We are not looking to be tech billionaires but would like to cover our costs.
For 2024 we would like to offer a number of sponsorship slots. For a one off annual payment of £50 we are offering:-
- A paragraph on our sponsors page which describes your business and contact details with one photograph and a link to your web or facebook page.
- An annual sponsors article detailing all our sponsors.
- The opportunity to sponsor a specific article that is relevant to your business.
- The opportunity for a feature on your business if it makes a good story.
- Up to four promotions per annum offering our readers discounts on services or free gifts (eg, free valet with every service)
If we can get just 20 businesses to support us we can cover our costs, if we can get more we can upgrade our equipment and travel further for stories.
If you are interested drop us a line at Yorkshirepublications@gmail.com and we can start the process. If you would rather make a one off sponsorship/donation then we would be happy to accept that too.
Hi Mike & Tony, well my immediate reaction was what a bargain, just £50? Misprint for £500 I was wondering! x 20 businesses just £1000, not a lot for what’s involved.
Last year your publicity for our Royal Armouries show brought in a host of applicants and helped to make it a success. This year I had an applicant from Gloucester with a Porsche 944 and I wondered if he was thinking that RA was in Birmingham (BSA and all that), so I just said when accepting that if we had an award for the farthest traveled he was in pole position. I wondered how he got to know about it, maybe some connection with Leeds. A few days later an applicant from Essex with a Maserati Asseto Corsa (the boomerang tail light one). I had to ask him how he had heard of the show and he said Classic Yorkshire! So you’ve got a long reach!
More power to your elbow and – how about a classified listing, modest charge to advertise your classic car? I expect you thought about that and other ideas.
Thanks Hugh. Our events page is attracting a lot of attention and getting about 500 views a week from the Uk and overseas. I’m glad it worked so well for you. As we said we aren’t looking to make a fortune, just to cover our costs. Its our contribution to the classic car community. We have looked at a classified listing but it requires investment in systems for credit card payments. But as we grow then a classifieds listing could be a possibility. Thanks for your support
Hi Mike and Tony.
This seems a really good way of ensuring the sustainability of Classic Yorkshire. Hope that there are companies out there that take up your offer
Cheers, Richard
Thanks Richard.
