69 days to go!

We are rapidly approaching that time of year when everyone asks, Dad, what do you want for Christmas. The usual answer of socks doesn’t cut it any more. Books are always welcome and they don’t have to be about the cars we own. Equally attractive are the cars we would love to own but frankly can’t afford. So take note of these books and have them ready to answer that dreaded question.

First up is ‘Alfa Romeo Cars in Motorsport since 1945’, from Peter Collins. This is a record and photographic album showing every Alfa Romeo used in motorsport since 1945. Fully loaded with fantastic period photographs, it’s a sturdy volume and weighs in at 328 pages. From the historic, right up to the modern F1 cars, this is the book every Alfisti needs.

Second, is Jaguar authority Nigel Thorley’s ‘Jaguar – All the cars’ now in an updated paperback edition. Superbly detailed and illustrated, this is an encyclopaedia of all SS and Jaguar production models – the most comprehensive reference work on these cars available anywhere.

The final two books both hail from marque expert Brian Long, and both cover Porsche. The latest in our ‘The Definitive History’ series is up first, and covers the type-991 911, 2011 to 2019. As with the other books in the series, it’s a fact-fest, full of background and development information, specifications, global sales data, and both road and racing models.

The final book is the third book in Brian’s ‘Porsche Racing Cars’ series, covering Porsche’s top-flight motorsport exploits between 2006 and 2023. Fantastic photography and plenty of motorsport facts and figures from around the world.

All are available and in stock now from all good book sellers … and, of course, the Veloce website! More details here… https://www.veloce.co.uk/store/Latest-releases-c35031333
