You know that I like to champion local events and as Croft is Yorkshires only racing circuit it is only right that we support it. Otherwise we will lose events and have to travel further afield to enjoy our historic road racing.

Over the years I have watched many races by a host of different clubs and none are more professional than the Historic Sports Club. The racing is close and the atmosphere friendly. There is usually a chance to talk to the teams and find out more about the cars. Best of all there is usually and excellent variety of cars, some of which will surprise you.
On 2/3 September, the HSCC will make a welcome return to the Croft circuit in North Yorkshire as the popular Nostalgia Meeting returns after a couple of years away. Croft is a great venue for racing with a real mix of fast and slow corners and presents a great challenge for drivers, backed up by a warm welcome from the venue.
A whole clutch of Club categories will be in action with two races each across the weekend. The programme takes in Historic Road Sports, 70s Road Sports, Historic Touring Cars, Guards Trophy, Historic Formula Ford, Classic Formula Ford, Historic Formula 3, Aurora Trophy/Geoff Lees Trophy, Historic Formula Ford 2000, Classic Clubmans and 80s Production.
Traditionally, the Croft Nostalgia Meeting has been a great celebration of motor sport and transport history, with much going on alongside the racing to make it a great family weekend. If you have never been to historic motorsport then why not give this event a go. But be careful, you might get hooked. Click the box below for more information.
